How to make a wooden snowman.

During winter I had seen a picture of a snowman made out of the bottom of the pine tree cuttings. That got me thinking about how I could do the same thing but improve on it.

Materials needed to make one snowman:

  • One large base cutting of a pine tree (go to a tree selling place they give those for free)
  • One medium sized pine tree base
  • One small and thin pine tree base
  • One thick small pine tree base
  • Four 1 inch screws
  • One 2 inch screw
  • One paint stirring stick
  • Hot glue gun with glue
  • One handsaw
  • One power drill
  • One hammer
  • One set of wood chisels
  • One sock
  • Five buttons
  • Scissors
Find pieces of wood that look like they will make a snowman. Take the biggest and the one that goes on the bottom and saw off a small portion of the bottom to be used as a base. On the top of the same piece remove the bark at the top of the snowman. Take the middle piece and cut the bark off the bottom of the piece. Hot glue the two pieces of wood. Next, take the paint stick and measure it up to the two pieces that are glued together, make a mark on the paint stick about 2 inches above the bottom, do the same to the top portion of the paint stick. After that make four pilot holes on each side of the paint stick (the sides being on the two pieces of wood.) Put one screw into each pilot hole going into the wood. Now take the small and the thick wood pieces and screw the pieces of wood together through the small piece of wood. Take off a little bit of bark at an angled side of the head and hot glue the hat on the head of the snowman. Glue a piece of the paint stick on the bottom of the snowman for support. After that cut the sock into fourth lengthwise. Glue the two buttons as eyes on the face of the snowman and the other three as buttons on the body of the snowman. Finally tie the sock around the snowman's neck and you're done!
